Hamburg University of Fine Arts gets new building
A competition with Europe-wide participation was to call for the greatest possible potential in architectural quality for the extension of the Hamburg University of Fine Arts.
Canopy for Dock 10 by Werner Sobek
Werner Sobek, who is known for so-called engineering architecture, designs the canopy for Dock 10 and thus the largest covered floating dock in Europe.
New NDR building in Hamburg: von Gerkan, Marg and Partners plan the new media house
The new NDR building will be realized by gmp architects. The new construction became necessary because a high-rise building had to be closed at short notice in November 2018 following asbestos findings.

Campus Tower
Delugan Meissl has won the competition for the so-called Campus Tower in the eastern part of Hamburg`s HafenCity. The office buildings, which consist of one block and one tower structure, will be used for a wide range of purposes. On the ground floor, a so-called ‘Showcase for Ideas’ will be created, which will be a platform for start-up businesses and entrepreneurs. Large windows will ensure a working space with plenty of light. There will be a bar with an outside terrace on the 15th floor, over 50 metres high.
Überseequartier
Southern Überseequartier is to get a new architectural appearance. Together with international and German firms of architects, Unibail-Rodamco developed new architectural designs 2015 for all 11 buildings in the neighborhood in cooperation with HafenCity Hamburg GmbH and Hamburg’s Ministry of Urban Development and Housing.
