Completely without turbulence, but with great architecture and architects who do what you enjoy most. Now comes Passing the Pen (9). This week we are flying from Brazil to the Austrian Alps, to Italy and on to Belgium.
Air travelling safely despite Corona, the Guiding Architects pen has already touched down in 24 cities. Now it continues its flight. This time it crosses Europe and then jumps across the Bosporus – from London to Barcelona, Frankfurt and Istanbul.
The competition for the planned office complex “Lightywood” in the heart of the castle island in the Harburg Binnenhafen has been decided. From the architectural competition with seven architectural offices for two construction areas, the working group Common Agency + Heine Architekten and GMP Architekten von Gerkan, Marg und Partner emerged as the winners.
For two months now, the pen of the Guiding Architects has been flying around the globe. In Passing the Pen (6) members from Basel, Warsaw, New York City and Doha show which famous building can be sketched particularly well.

The DESY innovation centre “Start-up Labs Bahrenfeld”, designed by DFZ Architketen, in Science City Bahrenfeld is entering its second construction phase. The topping-out ceremony took place at the beginning of June.
