The tour St. Pauli begins at the Tanzende Türme high-rise buildings on Reeperbahn. From here, we cross Spielbudenplatz square to the planned Paloma quarter (former Esso high-rises) and the Klubhaus Reeperbahn building. Passing the new residential complex in Schmuckstraße, the tour takes us to Pestalozzi-Quartier and the Bavaria Quartier, once the site of the Bavaria St. Pauli brewery.
The tour points out the current developments in and shows the new architecture coming into existence in the neighbourhood as a result of the tense relationship between the red-light district and gentrification.
